Before the next meeting, I'll post some blog entries to keep you all up to date.

- Reminders: I'm thinking of making the reminders on Fridays a regular thing. Maybe relocate the last reminder, in the week before the meeting, to a Monday to give everyone the remainder of the week to finish off whatever book they have been reading.

- Candidate Topics for 2013: Geoff Nelder has kindly offered three. I'm putting up a fourth topic to consider for next year, Shapeshifting. I'm also going to bring back the Adaptations topic from a previous year as well, but specifying one particular type of adaptation this time: roleplaying games.

- On-Topic Posts: I have at least one more of these posts to make. Possibly one looking at "A Wizard of Earthsea," and possibly one on magic in science fiction, if such an animal is possible: stories reconciling the existence of seemingly supernatural abilities in a nominally hard science fiction setting.

- Other Topics: All going well, I might have a surprise for you at the meeting. I say might - no guarantees, and if things go pear shaped on this front I will let you know sharpish.
